I have an ARB Base Rack. After trying several ways to attach the Stealth Folding MAXTRAX Roof Rack Mount / Pins Fold Flat (SFMRRM) without success, I finally found a solution and now have the mounts on my roof rack! Using two sets of the ARB BASE RACK BRIDGE PLATE NARROW (ARB-BBPN), part number: 1780420. To make this work you have to mount the (SFMRRM) on the bottom side of the rack (vehicle roof side). On the underside of the roof rack cross bar the (SFMRRM) plate protrudes back beneath the cross bar behind the bolts used to attach. There will be a +/- 1/4" gap between the cross bar and the (SFMRRM) plate. I cut out a piece of hard rubber 1/4" thick to place in the gap to fill the space so the (SFMRRM) remains level. There may be a better way to fill the space to keep it level? With this method the (SFMRRM) very secure.
Having the (SFMRRM) attached will save me time on each 4x4 adventure going and coming home. To get my 200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser in my garage I had to remove the Maxtrax and mounts each time. Another bonus is not having to line up the four individual Maxtrax mounts each time. Your invention is some much easier, a very clever tool. Thank you.
