I live in an area of 3 digit * temperatures. The vest runs cool it is lightweight and ,if worn unzipped when riding, it will not flip up like a cape in the wind the mesh keeps it in place. Zippers are heavy duty and material is heavy duty. Not a big thing if caught in the rain dries up in a flash.
