This adapter is machined to perfection. Only as Leica can. The first few fittings are very tight. I recommend mounting the adapter to the lens first. Then mount to the camera. This gives the leverage needed for a smooth mounting while the adapter breaks in.

The best adapter is one that just gets out of the way and allows the M Lens to perform as if it were an L-mount lens on my Leica SL2-S body. The Leica adapter does just that. The 6-bit coding makes it simple. The adapter is tight. That’s a good thing as it assures precise operation. What’s more it was a goody that accompanied the new Leica SL2-S camera body that I purchased from Camera West.

Fantastic adapter - I can use my Zeiss and Leica M mount lenses on my SL2. I coded all of my old M glass and the adapter passes the coding through to the SL2. The adapter is expensive (like most Leica items) but well worth the cost in the long run.
