Bolt Action Titanium Pen

Flexible pocket pen, great for Energel

I am a fan of compact pocket pens and this one is about as space-efficient and reliable as it gets. The clip, mounted at the very top edge, allows the deepest carrying possible. Thanks to the bolt action mechanism the pen will not activate accidentally in the pocket, unlike e.g. conventional clicker pens. The pen handles most refill types and maintains a relatively short length with each, thanks to no wasted space, e.g. the bolt inside is partially hollow to accommodate part of the refill. I am particularly fond of how suitable this pen is for Energel refills. Those are a favorite for many because of their smooth writing. However, their "Japanese dimensions" are a bit odd and they fit few pens - yet they work well here. Energels are especially notable for their unusual length, and compatible pens tend to be very long, in the 14 cm range. But as these refills end in a section of "useless" empty plastic, they can be shortened considerably with a knife. Thanks to its stepless length adjustment mechanism this pen can handle most Energel lengths, from the unwieldy stock length down to drastically shortened refills; my pen measures 11.7 cm with a shortened Energel (and 13 cm with a full length refill, still quite short for these)..

2 years and multiple pens later...

This is still my #1, hassle-free, go-to pen most days ! Takes anything you throw at it, and that includes ink cartridges ! Got more of these, but always something special about stonewashed Ti !!!
