QIDI Box

Great product, makes multicolor printing so much easier but doesn’t work for all filament spools. I’ve got some from Overture and they are made of cardboard. When it winds back it starts jumping around and eventually comes off the rollers. Also the QIDI would waste a lot of fillament when it changes color to clear the nozzle. Other than that I’m happy with the purchase.

I was able to print one model after setting up the Qidi Box. Since then, I get nothing but tangled messages and it pauses before even starting a print. There are no tangles. Additionally, though the software on the Plus 4 shows a setting for PETG CF, there is no setting for it in Qidi Studio. As a reault, it does not want to print PETG CF. Perhaps I’ll feel differently and revise my review when i get it working, but as of right now, it has been a challenge, to say the least. Such a shame because I love my Plus 4. Honestly, I like it best out of all my printers. I have been very eagerly awaiting the ability to print in multi materials on the Plus 4. With the ability to print composites and, I believe, TPU, the specs describe it as one of the most robust AMS systems. I hope I can make it work.

After i printed a mod to keep the filament from jamming at the hub it works perfect. The clicking is barely noticeable during printing. Bix heater works great. Easy to use!
