New York Rocks and Minerals Field Guide

The books are a great guide to help you know what rock you are looking at. And a plus the pages are waterproof, it doesn't get better than that. John

I finally had the chance to look at the NY rocks and minerals book and I'm a little disappointed. I'd prefer a resource that would tell me if I were say in Albany or Rochester, what could I find there instead of a book organized alphabetically like a mineralogy text book. So now I literally have to look through the 120+ minerals to see if any of them are near me. I could have used Google.
