Definitely not as bright of a strobe as the older orange type but should do the trick and there estimated to last 80-120hrs. I have not attempted to attach them to standard non inflatable offshore life jackets but they each come with a Velcro strap that should work well securing them along with a whistle. Like the high visibility color, florescent green.
