Fantastic shoes

The quality is high regarding finishing and stitching and materials. The sizing and fit are spot on in accordance with english sizing and last widths across all the good English manufacturers. The aesthetic of style 121 is beautiful. The senior sole looks better in the flesh than it does in pictures and is much more functional than a leather sole. The quality price ratio for made to order cordovan leather shoes is very good. Delivery time was short and delivery to New Zealand was seamless. The one thing to bear in mind is the cordovan is italian (maybe other tanneries' cordovan is more water tolerant) and every water spot causes a welt that needs polished out using the flat of a fingernail or polishing bone. Check the forecast before wearing them outdoors or on a dewy lawn that needs mowing, take care in the lavatory or when holding a cup of tea and do not drop hand sanitiser on them. You need to be careful as a cat in a roomful of rocking chairs. On the cordovan plus side though, depth of colour is amazing, the colour is not painted on so catching it with the edge of a rubber sole does not ruin the finish, and the surfacing does not crack like polished burgundy calf does, and they are noticeably warmer than calf shoes. Overall, the best shoes I own I reckon.

The shoes are very well done, good finished with great attention on details. They are comfortable, even with double JR sole. Great shoes.
