I loved the concept of this Murphy bed from the start — it’s a smart, space-saving idea and looks nice once assembled. Unfortunately, getting there was extremely frustrating. We paid $4,272.34 total. Because the $1,500 assembly cost felt excessive, we assembled it ourselves, which turned out to be a mistake. The instructions are well below subpar. The paper directions don’t consistently match the labeled parts, and the videos reference numbered pieces that aren’t actually numbered. This led to a lot of trial and error, which feels unacceptable at this price point. The stickers were difficult to remove and left residue. Once assembled, the materials feel average, the unit isn’t especially sturdy, and the magnets meant to hold the shelving while the bed is down didn’t work — we had to buy our own latches. Now that it’s finished, it’s okay and functional, but given the cost and frustration, I would not recommend it.
