I don't have a bunion but do have a problem big toe following joint replacement surgery. I need to keep the big toe separate and thought these socks would be easier than using a spacer. Since I've been unhappy with crew socks that cut off my circulation, I was pleased to see that these socks stretch up to 20 inches. If only. The cuff hits my calf at a point where it is 12 inches in circumference. These are as tight as any compression socks, not just at the top but all the way to the toes. They leave a deep imprint on my leg when removed and literally cause a higher blood pressure reading than when I take it sockless.
