Long Ryder Model 1

Great heavy duty denim. I find the sizing off, though. I've been wearing 34x34 for years and as I age they're getting tight. So I ordered these in 35x34. I know this style is meant to be ample, but it's almost too baggy through the butt and thigh, and yet I have trouble buttoning the waist button, even of a supposed 35. Also the length is crazy long. OK, I'll turn up the cuffs and see how it goes.

When I bought my two pairs of Long Ryders I was working at OKC West (we sell typically 10,000+ head of cattle a week) my main consideration was roomto sit in the saddle. Needless to say thag was not an issue, roomy enough for a tree trunk legged man like myself (5’7” 186lbs and lean). I am now an iron worker, where I climb columns, walk beams, and constantly stretch and bend. These are excellent jeans, pretty heavy duty, all the stitches were good on both of mine. Might run a little long but I like it that way.

Fit is great. Longest button fly I’ve ever seen, but they loosen up in good time. Solid fabric, and the top block is very generously proportioned. They either come a little larger than the tag, or with the high waist I need to be buying a smaller size. I’m usually a 30 in everything, but these have a little extra room around the waist. Not too much for a belt though. I will note, on the web page these are listed at 14oz whereas the tag on their pocket says they are 13oz. I imagine it’s a miscommunication internally or something. Customer service is a 10/10. I had a busted seam that the kind folks at Dearborn paid to ship back and repair. I will say, the ai agent used to reply to emails made it very difficult to communicate and understand what was going on. I only understood the process after a real human responded to me.
