Late last year I purchased a backpack from Backpacking Light with the intent to take it with me on my first Camino in May 2025. Staff were very helpful and assisted me in fitting the pack etc however when I tried the pack at home unfortunately it wasn’t a good fit for my curved and previously fractured spine or for my150cm height. I commend Backpacking Light for dealing with me very professionally when I asked to exchange the pack. Two staff listened to my concerns and after trying several packs suggested the Kumo might fit the bill. I have been training in earnest with the Kumo now for quite a few weeks and fit the bill it certainly does. With a softer backsection I have no pain when walking. Additionally with a weight of the pack at just 500gms, having ample and accessible pockets, loads of space and a good hip belt I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
