Layer upon layer of discoveries with the arrival of this beautiful garment.
A couple of hours ago my trousers arrived, after first seeing them online and discovering they were out of stock.
I had been looking for green trou for a long time, maybe two years because I felt that they would enable several things already in my wardrobe, but rarely worn, to totally work.
I measured up before I purchased. The extra small size was the perfect fit, no more or less than the measurements stated. I will need to hem a couple of bottom inches away, but I am short and I always expect to.
In trying them on, these are the other things I learnt.
The three outfits that I envisioned were perfect. The thing that surprised me in the most startling way was that I mixed more than 20 outfits, (22 I think) and that was without adding my one, lovely hat which could double the number, if it was only about the number.
I am so excited that on my careful budget, my clothes will flow effortlessly from meetings to conferences, coffee, a very loved young child, carer of a dear one with a disability, church musician, friend, dogwalker, wife, organiser etc. - the many different roles I have in a busy life working in a way I could never have imagined. The trousers can look a little formal or very relaxed depending on what I choose to put on the top.
My main work is as an advocate for great environmental outcomes. Green is perfect for this, but lifts all the varies shades I own, and love to wear.
I need clothes that work because I am time poor. I don't want to have to think about what to wear. I won't need to think hard before I leap out the door from here on in, and I will have a certain confort that my clothes look great. What more could I want?
