A Dark Take on Your Typical Holiday Scents.

Krampus smells like exactly what you'd expect him to; like an ancient and beastly creature has wandered in from the snow. MY first impression was the rosemary, orange, and that green vegetable note hit as savory, salty, and almost bitter on cold it smelled kind of like a vegetable stew. As it burns, the eucalyptus and patchouli sharpen things up, giving it a earthy freshness that keeps things from feeling cozy. Then the leather and smoke give a nice backbone, adding a darker, animalistic undertone. It genuinely smells like a half-man, half-goat creature has entered your home. But it also smells like a very nice Christmas dinner. The contradiction is fascinating wild and ominous, but weirdly festive. The throw, though, is basically nonexistent. If I’m not hovering directly over the jar, I can’t hardly smell a thing. It’s a shame, because up close it’s so complex and unique. Kringle absolutely nailed the concept though, this really smells like Krampus.
