I imagine its the dye, but man does it have a smell right out the box. Air these out for a bit or throw them in the wash to clear it up. Otherwise fantastic, heavy yet light sweats with a durable feel and quality design. Good baggy style without looking like you’re swimming in them. If you’re looking for a soft and cozy sweat, these will take a few washes to get the cotton broken in and soft but thats what makes them great!
