Was hydrating but I lacked the grip I was seeking to assist my seat moves or provide enough stick to the pole.

This is FABULOUS! It's like sliding on a pair of thigh high patent leather boots and climbing the pole like Velcro stairs. Highly LOVE! Remember to spray it on your legs, not your hands though. I've seen people forget. This will not be as happy.
