Bought two sets to cover all four legs. My gelding has small bilateral benign windpuffs on the hinds, and they do seem tighter after working in these. I’ve hosed in them several times, with room temp to warming water. It’s tough to get the water to penetrate all layers unless you are hosing for awhile. They legs don’t feel cool like after icing so I don’t know about the cooling effect or the using instead of icing. On hard jumping days and showing I still plan to incorporate ice boots into our routine for a few minutes. I do plan to purchasing the standing wraps for shows. Also plan to keep the legs clipped for closer skin contact in hops that that helps more with the circulation.
