Excellent

I think this is almost the perfect cabin/day bag, particularly if you're interested in a hybrid tech/everyday carry load. It's got two soft cushioned sleeves for carrying a laptop and/or tablet, it's got a decent number internal and external pockets for organizing and carrying little things like tissues, batteries, lotion, and such. It's believably water-resistant, and made of materials that feel durable and premium. And it's got two external pouches that work well for water bottles and umbrellas. I do have a few criticisms, but they don't detract heavily from my upfront recommendation that this is a great bag. Some criticisms: - The backpack straps feel like an afterthought. Versatile carry is nice, especially for a bag of this size and volume, but the straps aren't removable, and also don't feel as securely attached as I'd like; this is one point where I do have some mild concern about longterm durability. - The bottle pouches don't have drainage holes. - It would have been nice if they'd added a key leash somewhere. - The included shoulder strap is way too short. It's thankfully removable, so I was able to neutralize this particular issue entirely by just replacing it with a longer one, but I don't think I should have to do that for a bag of this cost.

Good for the urban jungle as well as the real jungle.

Just road tested the backpack with a business trip to Indonesia. It worked really well in formal meetings in Jakarta, yet was also really practical for field work in Java, where I was staying in very basic accommodation. Kept my laptop dry in a tropical rainstorm, and kept the snakes away from my chocolate bars. Brilliant!
