Odd but in a good way

At first, I was a bit iffy about the design, particularly the long arms and short legs; giving it a chicken kind of look. However, the build is simple, yet short. The articulation is solid, there are no loose or wobbly parts, everything holds perfectly. Like the Lfrith Ur, the Thorn includes the phase array cannon, and when unfolded, allows for many dynamic poses which looks fantastic. One thing I also noticed watching from other build reviews is that the long arms and short legs can be altered, simply by swapping parts and reattaching. I tried this and wow! The height proportions look so much different but unique, yet it does not hinder the articulation as much to a bad degree. I do prefer having the Thorn with longer legs and shorter arms, just that it looks better (imo) and when paired with the Ur, it looks more imposing. All in all, the Thorn is an interesting, fun, and in some ways cute kit that does not disappoint. Sure, the odd proportions may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it certainly does have a lot of kit-bashing opportunities which I'm for sure gonna give it a shot!
