Purchased this shoe stretcher to widen my shoes as I have a 'bunionette' (little toe bunion). The stretcher is well made from decent wood & the threads on the heel & toe adjuster a robust too, so should not fail. Its a bit of trial & error to use the correct nodule to streatch your shoes & the main body getting into just the correct position too. Would recomment using the shoe stretch spray to soften the shoe material so as not to stain/mark the surface on 'going out footwear'. I used some WD40 on the inside of my footwear to soften them as it did not matter if it did statin/mark them. value for money. You may have to use the stretcher for a 2nd time or leave for longer periods to get the comfort fit required.
