I was sent the wrong one via Amazon then ordered direct, they gave me 30$ off for my troubles. I found a youtube video and it was very helpful. Took me about 2 hours to install. Product works great. My wife loves the upgrade!

2015 Highlander Stock Unit Breathes life again!

This is our second CarSyncTech CarPlay module. The first one is installed in my Tacoma. Our stock Highlander Entune Plus unit started freezing and restarting years ago, we ended up going with an aftermarket unit that hard wireless CarPlay. The CarSyncTech module didn't exist at the time. The aftermarket unit started having its own issues. We found out that Toyota released a firmware fix for the stock Entune unit that resolved the freezing issue. After installing that free firmware update, and installing the CarSyncTech unit, the stock headunit is working better than it ever has before. Wireless CarPlay works great, we get to retain steering wheel controls and the dash compass as well as the stock system vehicle settings. Had this unit been available years ago, this would've been a no brainer and would've saved us hundreds. Better late than never. CarSyncTech's customer service is also excellent. You can't go wrong with this unit. Buyer beware, if you want to retain XM, make sure to get the extended ribbon cable as the "stack" starts to stretch out the stock connectors.
