1. Materials are premium and typical of / not scaled down from larger Defy offerings 2. At this size, for what it carries, makes bag relatively stiff and heavy 3. Size is just about right for the basics I often walk out with, incl iPad, phone, water bottle, wallet, keys, sunglasses 4. Internal organization is on point - not too much, not too little 5. Coarser-appearing materials make it look like less of a man-purse (good) but take away from the fact that the bag is actually refined in most other aspects. Would have been better to go with finer-weave Cordura
