Quality tent

Given it a one-night test (in Scottish highlands in November) and so far impressed. The construction is excellent. Tapes sealed and bonded tight, stitching totally sound. Materials tough and durable. The mesh inner is heavy duty and Not easily laddered as I read somewhere. Ventilation on a cold damp night was perfect- not one drop of condensation, and I'd slept with the door closed. That was probably the most remarkable thing. There was plenty of room for me and my gear and could gave take much more and still been comfortable. I liked the cocooned feeling,- not too low to feel claustrophobic but snug enough to be, well, snug. It rained in the night but not enough to really test it nor was there much wind, but being familiar with it now I would feel very confident using it in wild wet weather. ( I've worked out a strategy to minimise rain getting in while erecting it.) Before trying it I was concerned about the gap between the fly sheet and the ground but I can't see even horizontal rain being able to get in if you peg the fly out as far as possible from the inner. Plus the ground sheet on the inner rises higher than the fly edge. All the time I couldn't help comparing it favourably with my 4x-the-price, also English-made, 4 season tent in all these aspects . The only occasions I wouldn't use it are if deep snow was likely. Eg multi day trips far from home in Winter Very pleased with my purchase.

Quality bit of kit

Totally loving the Ionosphere ! Low profile, low weight but high quality. Ease of setting up and packing away is a must have, enough room for a comfortable nights sleep and waterproof. I use in conjunction with a tarp for a cooking area and extra storage. Highly recommended.
