I bought the high pitch Tama's about 20 years ago. They're great. BUT, they're crazy expensive, lack color options, and I'm not a fan of the factory mounts. RL Drums got it right by making theirs affordable, a wide variety of colors AND sizes, and offer the Tama style or post mounts. You really can't get any better than these. I had a minor issue, so I emailed and Rich responded within 5 minutes, which blew me away. He immediately came up with a solution and took care of me without any issues. He really went way above and beyond to help me out with my issue - try getting that kind of service from the bigger manufactures. The drums were packed up and shipped out the same morning I ordered them. And the crew packed my 22" & 24" extremely well - absolutely protected from anything UPS could've done to damage them. I guarantee with the way RL packs your gear, nothing can hurt it. Bombproof. And the color! I ordered the purple to complement my natural finish DW Collectors & Pearl Session Series in a green burst. The acrylic is an incredibly deep color and the shells are wonderfully thick. The most important part is the sound. These things sound amazing! I've been playing around with the tuning a bit, but really, the tuning from the factory is what I went back to. They had my drums dialed in perfectly. And I appreciate that they use quality Remo heads, even though I'm am Evans guy. You'll be able to get plenty of use out of their heads for quite a while.

Order yourself some RL Drums now! They're a great tonal, textural addition to any kit for any style of music. I'm so impressed, I'll be ordering a full RL acrylic kit in the future.
