Octoban Clear Seamless Acrylic

my mid-life crisis drum set grows!

Octobans have great workmanship and have the low profile rims so you can hit the head easily and not make accidental rimshots. Not every octoban manufacturer has this although the original Tamas did. I'm still making a custom mount for a group of these on my Gibraltar rack mount so I haven't added them to my kit yet. I only ordered two drums but I think I will get two more.

An amazing discovery

I've had Tama's complete set of octobans back in 1980. I sold the set and always wanted to build another drum kit with octobans again. I stumbled upon RLdrums and noticed they had so many finish options ! Tama only had black shells. And only 6" diameter. I saw that I was able to add 8" diameter shells at limited lengths. So I purchased 2 just to check them out...I LOVE the look and the sound ! I've since put a down payment on more. I'm so happy to find this company. I may even add 6" octobans to my setup as well. I bought the clear finish, but they have many clear versions...red, blue, green, amber, etc. I'm truly pleased !! Thank you RL !!
