If you like a little spicy heat, this coffee is for you. With a hint of cayenne pepper, this chocolatey coffee will get you going in the morning. This is yet another coffee that gets on my re-order list. Wow. It's really good.

Where It All Started

When your family knows you're a coffee-drinker, you get a lot of coffee mugs as gifts, most of which rarely get used. So, I was pleasantly surprised when my in-laws instead got me several flavors of coffee from this local shop they knew about, and I was utterly blown away the first time I tasted Firecracker Fudge. At first sip, it has a rich mocha-like flavor - the sort I've enjoyed since my first coffee house experiences in the late 90s. But then you swallow, and there's this nice tingle at the back of the throat. That's the cayenne. It isn't spicy like spicy foods are spicy. You're not going to need a glass of water to wash down your coffee. But that little tingle serves to draw your attention to the coffee you're drinking and helps you really savor it. Firecracker Fudge is our household's mainstay. We buy a few bags of coffee from The Outpost every month - a mix of new flavors and old favorites. And every order includes a bag of Firecracker Fudge. When we have coffee-drinking friends over and offer them coffee, they know to ask what's on tap, as it were, and if it's Firecracker Fudge, they almost always ask for a cup. This coffee is pure delight.
