Everyone seems to choose brown to match what Harrison Ford wore in Indiana Jones. I chose black, mainly because I have many brown boots and needed black. It’s beautiful. The stitching, craftsmanship and finishing were all excellent. Nothing out of place. That said, a few observations. First off, it’s not calf as advertised. The 401-BK01 is always chromexel. But I knew that. Runs a little larger than I thought. I’m a 12 D on the Brannock device and ordered an 11.5 D. Still a bit too roomy. I visited a cobbler and added 7 ounce leather inserts to take up some space. Also had him stitch the tongue near the top inner side of each boot to keep it centered. Now they’re near perfect. I love this boot.

Great purchase!
They fit great (I’m a 9 in sneakers and 8.5 was what I ordered). And they look great. And they’re very comfortable.
