Ridgeline Tripod

Probably the Best Backpack Hunting Tripod in Existence (w/ a modification)

Obnoxiously light and simple. This integrated head is a significant improvement over the Backcountry Lite head for shooting - much more stable. I swapped the legs over to the shorter three section ones from my Backcountry Lite tripod - I wish this was an option out of the box. The two section legs are fine, and arguably faster to deploy - but are a little more obnoxious to get set up in a prone shooting position. The combination of the three section legs with the integrated head at 20.6oz is a ludicrously light, effective, deadly combination for anyone pushing questionably deep on the old Ankle Express™

What I needed

I have an upcoming hunt with my son. I already own the backcountry tripod and really enjoy it. I almost got another one for him, but I figured a little diversity was best. I really like this one. For shooting, I would say it is a step up from the backcountry with the ball head. This is much more rigid when locked. I do miss the pan feature, but that has some room for play with a rifle on it. I still like how short the backcountry legs are, but this is way more stable. Aziak is by far my favorite tripods.

The perfect build

The ridgeline meets all my needs with no extra weight. Very simple, durable and packable. I use it for optics and couldn’t ask for anything more!
