Kolonne Null Cuvée Rouge N°03 Non-Alcoholic Wine

Thin and hollow red substitute

I'm finding in working my way through the Boisson stocklists that non alcoholic red wines are the hardest to get right - it seems the de-alcoholization process takes a lot of the body out of the wine. Unfortunately, Kolonne Null No. 3 also loses much of the character that is promised in the description. I find that there is little by way of oak and tannin, and that the prevailing flavor is that of cherry, grape, and cranberry.

Palatable NA Red

I was surprised to find that this wine did have a full body flavor. No odd yeasty smell like several other NA reds I’ve tried. Definitely the best non-alcoholic red I’ve tasted. Not comparable to an old vine Zin but palatable. Similar to a Pinot Noir in body, color and finish.
