I’ve had a love hate relationship with this particular fish which is not as hardy as a Bolivian but whose coloration brings you back (this time it will work / they will be hardier). Then there’s the differing quality and the overseas breeder tricks with hormone treatment for that short lived vivid effect. My experience this time is a healthy fish which is proving hardy in my community tank with strong and lasting colours. Fish Hut is doing a good job of managing fish welfare with freight and the hobbyists by maintaining quality and supplying fish which are, so far, disease free. As with all new fish it’s still a lottery but you come to know those suppliers with good practices. 👌
