Sivasagar 2021 : Upper Assam Hindi Oud Oil

This is very aptly described on the site -- it's a straightforward Hindi oud, fairly linear, with exceptional tenacity -- a single drop on fabric goes and goes. I also very much appreciated the inclusion of a Tripuri 1 sample which is lovely -- also substantive, but brighter, with a bit of fruity facet that still reads Hindi rather than Thai/crassna.

JK’s oils are Unicorns in a sea of Zebras and horses. And what I mean by that is that this man and his brand are among the BEST in the business. Though I’ve only been buying Oud for six months give or take I have amassed a collection from many different vendors from Ouddict, Instagram, etc. JK’s work sits at the top with the likes of Russian Adam and Ensar Oud; Ensar and Russian Adam are the Mt Rushmore of Oud. But JK does compete well within that high echelon of Oud Master Distillers. This Hindi is a true treasure! And at this price point I should’ve purchased a full Tola.
