Summit XT
I recently upgraded to the Summit XT from the ann original Final Rise design and am very impressed by the updates. I have used many different vests over the years and the Final Rise products have been the best by far. Most of my upland hunting is chukar in Idaho canyon country and blue grouse at high elevation. The terrain is usually very tough, technical, and remote. Having a tough but lightweight vest with thoughtful design is important to me so that I don’t waste energy but have the space to bring all necessities. The design is practical for actual hunting such access to the bird bag, shell pockets, and shoulder strap design that doesn’t interfere with carrying my shotgun. Thankful for a vest designed by the authentic upland hunters at Final Ruse!

Outstanding quality and style
If you're going to be in the field, you might as well make it the most enjoyable you can. The Summit XT offers outstanding comfort, clever storage, extreme durability, and the best style money can buy. So good I own 3. Final Rise does it right - great products, great people.

New Summit XT Vest owner
To be honest, I haven't used my vest yet (my bird season is still 2 months away). I did go with the XT version because of the magnetic closures on the shell pockets (not a fan of Velcro closures, especially on pockets I need to get into fast and/or with one hand), and the Summit because of its water-carrying capacity (I do doubt that I could get my setter in the game pouch, at least where he would be comfortable being carried out of the woods). I was a little hesitant about this vest because it has so damn much stuff on it, thinking it was going to be bulky and add a lot of weight, which I did not want while pushing through the thick upland covers during the warm early grouse and woodcock seasons! However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that that is not the case at all - the vest is actually quite light and with very little bulk (despite all the features), and I love how well it can be adjusted from wearing over but a t-shirt, to several layers of clothing in the late season - this is also when the thin but sturdy shoulder straps will be appreciated! Overall, a very well-designed product (A bit of a surprise, given the guy who designed it hunts with GSPs!) Only disappointment was that a month after I received my vest, they came out with a waxed cotton version!
