The 3.0 - Magnetic Mount

I really wanted this to work! It looks extremely robust and solid. My biggest disappointment is that it failed to stay put. I choose a location that I used on my last truck. Under the steering column. I got it adjusted just right and then placed perfectly. After installing, I waited 2 days before placing my fully loaded Shadow Systems DR920 which weighs approximately 30.0 to 31.2 ounces (around 1.88 pounds) in the ARMOTECH 4.0 Magnetic Mount. 45 minutes into a 2hr: 37min. trip, the whole assembly dropped to feet. Very disappointed that the provided tape doesn’t work. I thought it was 3M tape. I stopped at WalMart and purchased some Gorilla Double-Sided Tape and reinstalled it. That lasted another 15 minutes before coming down as well. I’ll be shopping around some more.

Applied the mount as directed, allowed the product the correct cure time, and it still would not hold. When emailing about returning the product customer service said “the 3M is only there to hold while you screw it in. 1-Thats not what the website says 2- You should be very clear about that on your site/videos/item info. Not everyone wants to screw something into their new car. Website says hassle free return, however im on my 3rd email with them and they keep avoiding telling me how to make a return, may have to file a dispute with my credit card company to get results. So as of now buyer beware!

Great product! I initially bought 2 and after they came in and I got them mounted in my vehicles, I bought 3 more for other locations in the house. Very well built and easy to install.
