Jewel Amethyst Eggplant Seeds

White eggplants?

Easy to grow so far but the fruit on 4 of my plants are all white. I gave a few away and at least 1 of them is also producing white eggplants. Not sure if genetics or if the seeds got mixed up. Either way prolific production. Just watch the thorns!

Unstable Genetics

The packet says to sow these very early indoors, but they grow quickly and you could easily wait another month or more to start them. The fruits on both of my plants are white and not amethyst. Great compact plant, but some improvements are needed.

Is this a seed mix-up?

Whatever it is, it is very productive, germinated well and is beautiful. Any idea what it is or is it Jewel Amethyst?
