Invasion Amerika New Release Bundle

Well worth the price!

Anyway. That’s what I think of it

For the models: What I like, the models look really cool, there is variety in the weapons and pose options able to mix and match however I want. What I dislike: they are slightly bigger than bolt action models making kitbashing between K47 and Bolt action highly difficult. There are no options/pieces for empty weapon sheaths nor for unheld melee weapons when making the ghost attack squads with SMG’s For the book. I have only read the first half so far and I do not have a community interested in playing a campaign so this opinion won’t take those parts into account. The missions seem interesting on paper The plot and lore are interesting and engaging. Establishing details about the world as well as further exploring details about the rifts in general. It has also expanded upon information about the weapons developed within the rifts. And I adore how you get to see a soldiers point of view in these mini two three page stories **Spoilers for the book ahead so avert eyes if you don’t want to see spoilers.** I dislike how things do not really change in the books I have read so far. For example, the ghost battalions wiped out most of the scientists. And when the scientists released captured axis monsters the rest were found, rounded up, and captured. Stalin also ordered his 5th column to mobilise. And while I’m the story an internal investigation and mole hunt was undertaken there are still numerous Comintern agents in the rift research. And despite losing all their scientists and so their top minds on the subject. Rift research doesn’t seem to have even been slowed let alone impacted. This implies no matter how many campaign books are released and no matter how brave or foolish or desperate an operation becomes that the borders will never again change from where they are next drawn. Maybe it’s temporary, just first few books while they establish the world and the plot.

Great box release! Plastic kits look great and the building process is greatly improved. Only thing missing is a set of rift dice to match the units
