12' Modular Aluminum Gangway with Cedar Decking

Very sturdy - easy to assemble

These come in four foot sections. The frame sections are the connected with side pieces that provide the rigidity between the four foot frame sections. There is probably 100 pounds of aluminum in all of these pieces. So, the result is a very sturdy ramp. All of the hardware was included and the instructions were easy to follow. Ours goes from a wood walkway that terminates with a 4 x 6 beam. The gangway connects to the walkway and then terminates on the dock. A nice option would be rollers on the dock end. Tommy Docks could probably design something that would easily bolt onto the existing holes on the end of the frame. I would even test the prototype for them. There were a few pieces that were included in the box but I have no idea what they are for. Maybe used in conjunction with the docks. The only issues I have are: a couple of the boards were split or missing chunks at the ends. Not a big deal. The wood panels have a clip that secures the wood panel o the frame. One of the panels is a little warped. It may flatten out over time. But if there was a clip in each corner then the panels would sit flat. Overall, it s a nice product and well engineered. I assembled and installed it by myself. But it would be worth a few beers to have somebody help with installation.
