Replacement Disc Style Brake Kit

I received the brake kit within a reasonable time. I read the instructions provided with the kit. VERY NICE. Discovered soon enough the Wheels needed to be swapped before the mounting bracket would be correctly oriented. Very easy installation. The only issue I had was that the cable supplied with the kit is about 8 inches short for my cart. I resolved this issue by not running it through the final frame mounted loop before connecting it to the brake assembly. It works perfectly and the cable tucks up out of the way when the cart is folded for transport. I am very satisfied.

4 screws solution

In the end the brake didn’t work because the 4 screws securing the disc to the wheel had fallen out after many years of service.

Fixed my micro cart

Broke the brake cable last season. I thought I would have to buy a new cart. Hoping for a cheaper solution I checked Sun Mountain online. Sure enough they had a replacement unit. It arrived promptly and was a breeze to install. On the course the new brake worked perfectly. I’m so proud of myself for repairing instead of purchasing a new cart. Thanks Sun Mountain.
