OKW V2<br><br>Modlite Light Head

The OKW V2 is a noticeable improvement over the OKW. There was a mix up with my order and an item was left out. I contacted CS and Tom got it handled immediately! They also included a mug and a bunch of stickers. This is mile above one of their competitors that still has not returned my CS inquiry about a handheld light that won’t hold a charge. I have total faith in Modlite and their team! Thanks guys!

My Modlite journey, There I was, tracking a fleeing subject through the Arizona desert when his foot sign led me to a pile of brush in a wash. I tried to punch through the brush pile with my issued Streamlight handheld flashlight but didn’t have any luck. I then started pulling away the outer layers of brush and issuing commands when I finally located the subject. Luckily, he wasn’t armed otherwise I would have had the opportunity to try out my body armor. The next day I started searching for a new handheld flashlight, stumbled upon Modlite, and self-procured a handheld PLHv2. I’ve been carrying a Modlite on my duty belt ever since and have never regretted dropping my own cash on this piece of gear. I have recommended Modlite to all my co-workers and will continue to advocate for my agency to procure Modlite handhelds for new officers. So on to the OKWv2 head; I purchased this new head to replace my PLHv2 since I’m a twig pig and work outdoors. A couple weeks ago, I was working a SaR for a missing child and was tasked with checking the adjacent parking lot to see if the missing child had crawled into one of the vehicles. As I worked my way through the parking lot systematically checking each vehicle, I had no issues using my Modlite to punch through tinted windows and illuminate the interior of the vehicles to check for the missing child. Without a doubt the OKWv2 is worth its weight in gold.

Very expensive, but high quality and worth the price if you use and carry a flashlight professionally for target identification, threat identification, etc.
