Compostable Eco Dish Sponge 3-Pack

Very impressed

I've been trying to cut as much plastic out of my life as possible and dish sponges were driving me crazy with how quickly they would start shredding and sending microplastics (and macroplastics!) down the drain. A friend recommended natural loofah sponges and I was worried they wouldn't perform as well but I'm so happy to report I feel like they work even better! Very stiff upon first use which is a challenge but they quickly soften up with hot water & a few days of using them and that's when they work even better than a plastic sponge for me. Despite not really "holding" water like a plastic sponge, they still suds crazy well and they're flexible enough to use on any kind of dish surface. I'm most impressed with how long they last and how well they perform for their full life span. I felt like with plastic sponges they'd work really well for maybe a week before gradually getting sadder and sadder and not sudsing well and falling apart. I got a solid 3+ weeks out of one of the loofah sponges and I still have two more, and even when they start to fall apart I don't have to worry about plastic going down the drain. Very much appreciate being able to toss the remnants in the compost at the end of their life too.

Every time we have people over, I give them one of these sponges to take home because I'm sure they'll love it like I do.
