Pro Moto Earplugs: 12 - 32dB

I'm generally happy with the earplugs. I recently went on a 2 hour motorcycle ride on a freeway at 110kph. The noise reduction was acceptable. The only downside for me was the largest size tip provided was too small for my ear canals so I had to buy larger ones to fit. It's a me problem though.

Whilst the RESON plugs sit comfortably in the ear canal I have found even on the highest attenuation setting (32dB) and selecting the most appropriate rubber plug for ear canal size fitting as per instructions that there is still considerable wind noise to the user, certainly not attenuated to 32dB as claimed. I have reverted back to a pair of $23.00 attenuated plugs brought from AMX Store that actually fit directly into the ear canal and reduce wind noise considerably and are much more effective than the RESON Pro Moto earplugs. The issue, and the reason for trialing the RESON earplug, was the AMX Store units are easy to insert but very difficult to remove from the ear canal. However, happy to put up with the inconvenience for the better attenuation of the AMX earplug. I ride a BMW R1250RT and even with the windscreen up the RESON earplug was ineffective. As a trained audiologist suggest that further development work required on this product.

Shipping was fast with no hassle. I wear a open face helmet and these earplugs cut a fair bit of wind noise but a fair bit still gets through. Still better than no earplugs to save your hearing.
