Owl Pellet Dissection Kit

I enjoyed dissecting the pellet to see what bones I could find. It took me back to a childhood science camp, which is the only other time I've dissected an own pellet. My only minor complaint is that the jar provided was not big enough to hold the bones, so I had to find another (you can see in the picture the bones I got from the pellet compared to the small jar provided). Also, I highly recommend using hydrogen peroxide to lighten the bones and make them easier to observe.

Christmas Gift

My oldest is very into all things goth and I have had to stop her on more than one occasion from bringing small skeletons from our yard into the house to clean. This will be a good way for her to have the some of that without me having to think about what might have killed whatever it is she found. She is an artist and I expect these will definitely make it into some pieces.
