First successful broccoli grow

This burgandy broccoli is #1 absolutely gorgeous and #2 gave me my first successful broccoli grow! It produced quicker than other broccolis and I love it will continue with side shoots. So happy I planted this!

Burgundy Broccoli had 100% sprout!

I am in Zone 9b, Houston, and direct sewed Burgundy Broccoli on Christmas Eve last year. It had 100% sprout in 4 days! We were very warm at the time with 75F daytime and 60F night temps. Now at 9 weeks later I am soon to pick the top floret off of a couple plants and I see many side shoots developing. The heat and wind did get to quite a few plants. They died. I will plant earlier next year so that I am not trying to grow broccoli in the 80F's with full sun and high wind.
