This is a fabulous video. Vicki is a great teacher; she explains everything in an easy-to-understand way as she goes through her process in a logical fashion. Vicki covered everything from drawing, transferring to canvas, how she uses photo references, palette colours, colour mixing and paint application. She also demonstrated how to paint the interesting clothing. The section on finishing touches was especially valuable as I feel this is not always addressed well in practical demonstrations. I have watched it through twice and will watch again, as I pick up more practical gems each time. By the end Vicki feels like your best painting friend!

Vickie carries on a 'conversation' with the viewer while painting that is very interesting and informative. I enjoy learning her thoughts and techniques as she reveals this lovely painting step by step. I've learned a couple new oil colors that I'm going to add to my palete.

Amazing class

From her Rembrandt style under paintings to her concession with brushes, I learned so much. So glad I bought the DVD so I can go back this time and again.
