Time Consuming
I bought this pattern believing it to be a beautiful beginner friendly project. As someone who has been sewing for three years, I did not expect this pattern to take quite as much time and seam ripping as it did. The directions were clear but with low quality photos, I had a hard time visualizing what to do at each step so I reread the directions multiple times, only to find myself attempting what I thought was correct and then having to rip the seams and try again. The hardest part was the turning out the bottom tail of the wings. I had used heavy duty stabilizer for that part just like the other parts of the wings but it was so difficult to turn out that my hands were tiring raw and pink from the pulling I was doing. I ended up cutting the stabilizer entirely out from the tail and this helped me finally pull out the wing’s tail right side out. If you’re doing the smallest version of the wings, my advice would be to not add heavy duty stabilizer to the tail so you can pull it right side out.

gorgeous!
Gorgeous design and well written pattern. I appreciate all the photos as I was a little worried about this one! Can't wait to gift it to my little one and take some photos!
