Celestron Advanced VX 6" Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope (SCT) (12079)

Great scope for camping and for new astronomers

I chose this telescope because it balanced a reasonable aperture of 6" with a compact size and weight to take camping in our RV. I have tried a few telescopes like an 8" Dobsonian, but I needed a more compact and transport friendly. The AVX mount is great even on a shaky back deck. The folks at All-Star were great help as well.
