Fantastic Travel Camera

I was looking for an alternative to my travel film camera and came across this Camp Snap Camera. The example shots looked promising so I bought it. The lens is surprisingly sharp and the black and white setting (that you have to download from the camp snap website) looks fantastic. Dynamic range is pretty good for what it is and with the camera being completely plastic it weighs basically nothing. The included micro sd card is only 4 gigs, but that’s PLENTY for this thing. I think it holds something like 2000 photos? Anyway, if you’re looking for a cheap point and shoot digital alternative to film I’d highly recommend this. It’s certainly not a Leica, so don’t expect the most stellar images you’ve ever seen, it’s better to think of it like a Digital Holga. Photos have that early 2000’s flip phone A E S T H E T I C that so many want and can do it without any editing. 5 stars.

I love the improvements from Camp Snap’s V101 camera. The new sounds when turning it on, snapping a pic, and turning it off are less annoying, the camera shutter is noticeably faster, and the numbers aren’t a glaring red light anymore. I don’t have to stand in place for a few seconds to prevent motion blur. I was a little worried that Velo was shipping the V101, as I was looking for the V103, because of the product photos (some were of the 101, others the 103, but I trusted the product listing when it said new version). Overall, super glad I bought it!
