Good clam shell case. It could be better. There are only two exterior handles, they are low profile. Two more handles would make it better to handle when lifting it. A handle on the side, the other side. And a handle on the bottom. It would make the case easier to lift from one place to another, into a car, into an overhead bin. The other thing to make it better would be plastic runners on the lower part of the case, to protect the case when the occasional curb causes you to pull and drag the case up and over to the sidewalk. The case scratches when pulling the case up a curb

Great size - compact but plenty of room to fit clothes, shoes,etc. Absolute must have for carry-on luggage. Love all the Portland Gear products - this is my 4 different bag and I've yet to be disappointed. Durable and fashionable!
