Luxurious Shawlette Knitting Pattern (AP1922)

Disliked this pattern entirely. The pattern has ‘short rows’ in it but the description of how to do this (as there are instructions per pattern normally) contradicts the row instructions of rows 1-3. In other words: WHERE exactly does the short row knitting FIT IN? I gave up despite asking for help from 3 people who let me down. Not the best if knitting experiences.
