Hobbyist Happy so far
I am just starting out to paint my woodwork project items. I am beginning to paint my birch plywood projects. It's easy. I am making trays for beverages to place on tables to protect other wood surfaces. I am considering painting other various projects when I am done learning. I am over the middle age mark. So, it's so easy that even I can learn to paint with these paints.

enjoy using it on wood
So far I have used the White Titanium Zinc Ottosson paint on raw wood furniture as an oil stain. I have experimented with doing a first layer of just Ottosson Boiled Linseed Oil, vs. having my first layer be 50/50 Ottosson BLO/paint. Both have worked well, and when I apply the 2nd layer as straight paint, applied with a white scrub pad, left for a few hours, then wiped off, both techniques appear similarly. 3-4 layers of white will still have semi transparency of wood grain, but this may be bc my layers have been so thin and wiped off. In future I may try painting onto the finished furniture if I ever want it whiter. I do love using the linseed oil paint, and am looking to do much more in the house with it. The wood stain turns out beautiful.

Love Ottosson Linseed Oil Paint
My 100 year old double sash wood windows, exterior doors, stools, and trim look brand new and the Ottosson colors are a gorgeous match to what the original builders intended. I’ve gotten great coverage on just one liter and love that the paint can be used as a primer by diluting with a good boiled linseed oil. Wish I had “discovered” this years ago.
