Beetle Brooch - Gold

Cheaply made and fragile

My expectations were set by the insect brooches at Loren Hope, but they are at least double the price. There’s a reason. This is as large as advertised but feels flimsy and breakable. The thin wings and antennas wiggle if you touch them, and it is not a solid firm carapace. The eyes were glued on sloppily. The photo is gorgeous- the execution requires more work. I would be happy to pay for a better made piece next time. I will be sadly returning this.
